Terms of service
Last updated November 9, 2026
Bindery is operated by [operator name and address to be added before launch].
These terms cover your use of Bindery, a web tool for labeling, numbering and assembling exhibits and court bundles. When you buy a pass you’ll be asked to agree to them; please read them first.
Not legal advice
Bindery is software, not a law firm. It does not give legal advice, is not a substitute for a lawyer, and using it creates no lawyer–client relationship. Presets reflect common formatting conventions, not the rules of any particular court. Bindery does not choose your documents, check their content, redact personal information or run OCR on scans. You are responsible for reviewing every page, label and number, and for checking the rules and orders that apply to you, before you file or serve anything.
Plans
- Free: every feature for bundles of up to 3 exhibits, numbered from the start.
- Case Pass: a one-time payment of US$19 (plus any tax) that unlocks unlimited exhibits and exports for 7 days from purchase. It never renews.
- Pro: US$99 a year (plus any tax), which unlocks unlimited use while it is active.
Pro renews automatically
Pro renews automatically each year at the then-current price (now US$99 plus any tax), charged to the payment method you used, until you cancel. Before each renewal you’ll get a reminder email with the date, the price and how to cancel. We’ll tell you at least 30 days before any price change takes effect.
How to cancel: cancel online at any time at link.com (sign in with the email you used at checkout), from the link in your receipt, or by emailing support@your-domain.example. Cancelling stops future renewals; you keep Pro until the end of the year you paid for. See Refunds for renewal refunds.
Payments
Orders are sold through Link, the merchant of record service of Stripe. Link/Stripe takes your payment, issues your receipt and handles sales tax and VAT; Stripe’s terms govern the payment itself. Your card statement will show a charge from LINK.COM. We provide the software and support.
Your license key
After checkout we show you a license key. Keep it: it unlocks Bindery in other browsers and on other computers. It is for you, or for the people at your firm working on your matters. Please don’t publish or resell it; we may disable keys that are shared publicly. Refunded or charged-back purchases stop unlocking Bindery.
Your content
Your documents are processed on your own device and are never sent to us. They remain yours; we claim no rights to them.
Acceptable use
Don’t use Bindery to break the law, to infringe anyone’s rights, or to interfere with the service or other people’s use of it.
Disclaimer
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, BINDERY IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE”, AND WE DISCLAIM ALL IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT ANY OUTPUT WILL BE ACCEPTED BY ANY COURT, TRIBUNAL OR PARTY.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for lost profits, data or opportunities, and our total liability for all claims is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or US$100. Nothing in these terms limits liability for fraud, gross negligence, wilful misconduct, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
Consumers
If you are a consumer, nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights. For UK consumers, this includes your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. If you are a consumer, you also keep the mandatory protections of the law where you live, and you may bring claims in your local courts.
Changes
We may update these terms. If a change materially affects paying customers, we’ll email you at least 30 days before it takes effect. The date at the top shows the latest version.
